It's a tradition! Anders Osborne’s second annual Holiday Spectacular: Rock My NOLA Soul for Christmas returns to Tipitina's with a lineup of special guests overflowing with Christmas spirit. Friday night's "Rock" program welcomes special guests Luther Dickinson, Paul Barrere, Billy Iuso, John Gros, and more. Saturday's "Soul" show features Irma Thomas, John Gros, and more soon to be announced.
And then there's Osborne himself. Between the potency of his detailed songwriting, soulful vocals, and his expert guitar work, Anders Osborne has been called “the poet laureate of Louisiana’s fertile roots music scene” by Guitar Player magazine. Gambit Weekly honored Osborne as the Entertainer Of The Year. OffBeat named him the Crescent City’s Best Guitarist for the third year in a row, and the Best Songwriter for the second straight year. With the release of his 2010 Alligator Records debut, American Patchwork, his 2012 follow-up, Black Eye Galaxy, and his critically acclaimed 2013 EP, Three Free Amigos, Osborne has earned hordes of fans, toured virtually non-stop, appeared on Galactic’s Ya-Ka-May album, and in 2011 produced and played on critically acclaimed albums by Tab Benoit, Johnny Sansone, and Mike Zito. His latest album, Peace, chronicles the artist's transition from a period of emotional chaos towards one of inner peace.
