Think Golden Girls but with a slightly morbid twist: the three widows in this play get together at the cemetery rather than over coffee at their South Florida kitchen table. The Cemetery Club, produced by the Iberia Performing Arts League, is a comedy that tells the story of three Jewish widows who meet once a month for tea before going to visit their husbands' graves. When a charming man enters their tight-knit circle, friendships must be reevaluated. Thursdays through Sundays, September 5—15 at the historic Essanee Theatre, 126 Iberia Street. Evening shows begin at 7:30 pm; Sunday matinees at 3 pm. Advance tickets are available at Delaunes's Pharmacy, Paul's Flower Shop, or Accentrics, or by calling (337) 364-6114 or emailing email@example.com. Be sure to leave requested date and a return phone number. Tickets can also be purchased at the door. All tickets are $10.
