Slow Food Baton Rouge presents another slate of hands-on workshops designed to bring city dwellers a little closer to their food. October classes include:
• October 1: Gardening in Small Spaces • October 15: Basics of Cheesemaking • October 29: Sauerkraut and the Basics of Fermentation (just in time for Halloween).
All classes are held in Baton Rouge's own urban agriculture oasis: the Burden Botanic Gardens. Essen Lane at I-10 from 7 pm–8:30 pm. Registration, directions and more info at slowfoodbr.org/urban-agriculture-classes.
