The Home Front and World War II
Citizens on the home front during World War II proved invaluable to the war effort. Women and families pitched in by planting gardens to increase farming and production of goods as the government rationed supplies and prepared for home defense. The government also encouraged the collection of scrap materials to be used in the war effort. Speaking on the topic at the Jeanerette Museum will be Nicholls University Professor Paul Wilson. 6 pm.
