St. Tammany Art Association says "bring on the weekend" with Saturday Morning Live!, a series of classes designed to build creative potential and increase confidence through improvised comedy. Improv uses no scripts or prepared material. Comedy is created in the moment: a playful, liberating and challenging experience, which is both funny and helpful for overcoming creative blocks. This class teaches the skills necessary to be comfortable in front of any audience. Instructor Shannon Williams will teach participants speaking and presentation skills, and ways to entertain an audience all at the same time. These are skills useable on stage, off stage, and in life. No acting or comedy experience necessary, and the program culminates in a show open to all. The four-session course takes place on Saturdays, September 14, 1, 28 and October 5. 10 am—11:30 am at 320 North Columbia Street. $75. (985) 892-8650 to reserve a spot.
