As the final performance of its thirtieth anniversary season, Of Moving Colors Productions partners up with Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra to present Shakespeare's The Tempest. True to OMC’s reputation for cross-disciplinary dance theatre, The Tempest represents a highly collaborative effort with several other artistic entities, local and beyond. Violist and composer Christian Frederickson offers an original score for the piece, and the Baton Rouge Symphony Chamber Players will appear live with Frederickson onstage alongside the dancers to perform the score. In addition, three world-class guest choreographers from New York City and Salt Lake City contribute work to the project, while Louisiana poet Xero Skidmore will perform voice excerpts from The Tempest and original works inspired by the play.
