All right, all you antiquarians, this one's for you. Organized by the Friends of Magnolia Mound Plantation, the seventeenth annual Petite Antiques Forum is an all-day affair, beginning with coffee and refreshments at 9:30 am, followed by the keynote lecture, titled Gracious Living and the Mysterious East: Oriental Carpets in North America, at the Louisiana State Archives by Walter Denny, distinguished professor of art history at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Then, participants will be treated to a tour of the home of Mr. and Mrs. David Culbert, passionate collectors of oriental carpets. Lunch provided at the Baton Rouge Country Club. $85, all-inclusive.
