Baton Rouge Green is offering a NeighborWoods PlantSmart Seminar to answer the perennial question, "What Trees Should I Plant in My Yard?" Maria Muñoz, a student in LSU’s School of Landscape Architecture and Baton Rouge Green’s 2013-14 Green Intern, will present the latest information on ‘planting the right tree in the right place’. She will discuss space limitations, sunlight requirements, soil requirements, potential hardscape conflicts and maintenance considerations. Robert Seemann, Baton Rouge Green’s program director, will also be on hand to field questions from the attendees after Maria’s presentation. Information about the Baton Rouge Green’s annual Fall Tree-for-All Tree Sale & Celebration, which will be held November 2—3 on the grounds of the Burden Plantation, will also be available. 6:30 pm–7:30 pm at the Burden Botanic Garden, 4560 Essen Lane. Free. (225) 381-0037 to register.
