Nothing warms and comforts like a handmade quilt, especially if it has been made by volunteers with donated supplies and large hearts. Twice a year, the Hosanna Quilters, a group of about twenty-five nimble-fingered members of the Hosanna Lutheran Church, display upwards of three hundred quilts in the church sanctuary to be blessed by the congregation. These quilts will make their way to charitable organizations such as the Samaritan Center, Project Linus, Crisis Pregnancy Center of Covington, Fairhaven, St. Tammany Hospital Hospice, Legacy National Hospice, Lakeview Mental Health Services, and Mwana Mission in Africa. This year's quilt display and blessing will take place at both 9 am and 10:30 am services at the church, 2480 Highway 190 East. hosannalutheran.com or (985) 727-9200 for more info.
