Producer Trent Edward Robinson launched the Save Shell Beach Fundraiser last year, while he was working on a documentary following the BP Oil Disaster in the Gulf of Mexico and looking for a way to directly assist the struggling communities he observed. And though the event was beneficial to those towns' plight, the struggle continues. Robinson and his company RHB Productions return this year for another benefit, this time enlisting musical heavy-hitters such as Dr. John, Allen Toussaint, and Honey Island Swamp Band to raise funds for the coastal communities. 8 pm at the Howlin' Wolf, 907 S Peters Street. $50–$75.
