Some Assembly Required

Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge 427 Laurel Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana
The Arts Council of Baton Rouge presents an exhibit of abstract work by Dean Dablow. In this exhibition, "Some Assembly Required", the artist challenges us to a visual experience devoid of reference to other objects. "The paintings have evolved into more painterly abstraction suggesting an atmosphere by building up layers of paint to reveal underlying color. I want the paintings to be seen simply as objects rather than windows to any referenced reality... Don’t try to find hidden meaning. There is none except for the visual experience."
The artist will be present for a reception on Saturday, March 10, at 6 pm. This exhibition is free and open to the public. artsbr.org.
