Trashtronauts: Upcycled Instrument Workshop

Musically inclined kids, and those who enjoy playing in trash (so essentially all children) are invited to Longue Vue  for an afternoon of music and making with professional musician and "Trashtronaut" Brett Gardner. (We should all be lucky enough to create our own job titles). Explore the physics of sound production, learn how to build simple "trashtruments" from upcycled materials, and practice collaborative music making. Kid Trashtronauts will go home with their own percussion trashtruments and "canjos" to continue playing, learning, and making noise. Ages 6–12. 1 pm–3 pm. $20 for non-members, $15 for members.
