As the largest octagonal house in America, Longwood is one of Natchez' most unique and beloved antebellum homes. The Longwood Jazz Dinner in the Round is a fundraising event that will ensure the landmark's preservation and upkeep, and it will allow guests to experience the historic home as it fills with music. The soirée will start off in the basement of the home with cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and a silent auction. Then the party moves upstairs to the great octagonal rotunda for jazz entertainment from the Larry Panella Quartet and a Chateaubriand wine dinner. Award winning journalist, Campbell Brown, will be there, too, giving a tribute to honor her grandmother, Alma Dale Campbell, a grand dame of the Pilgrimage Garden Club, which maintains Longwood. 6 pm–9 pm. $85 per person; $150 per couple.
