The Foundation for Historical Louisiana offers “Classic Homes and Cocktails" this Friday night, a showcase of downtown residences to highlight preservation in recent years by local homeowners, preservationists, and economic developers. The tour includes two restored condominiums, one in the Kress Building and another in the Welsh & Levy Building. The tour will also include a one-of-a kind building in Baton Rouge that was once a historic coffee house with a residence on the second floor on Main Street, and three unique homes that have undergone major renovations that respect and enhance their historic past. Each destination on the tour will be paired with a classic cocktail and refreshments, too.

The fun will start at 6:30 pm on the terrace of the Kress Building on Third Street, where drinks and heavy hors d'oeuvres will be served. Tour itineraries will be passed 'round at the Kress, and guests can either walk to the designated homes or hop on the chartered CATS trolley. All are encouraged to wear the tackiest Christmas sweaters they can get their hands on for a chance to win a free night at Hotel Indigo. 6:30 pm–9:30 pm. $30 FHL members; $35 non-members; $40 at the door.
