The first Sunday of every month, downtown Baton Rouge's cultural and museum organizations open their doors free of charge for exploration and festivities. Visitors can stroll through the Old State Capitol, the Capitol Park Museum, the Louisiana Art & Science Museum, the LSU Museum of Art, and the galleries of the USS Kidd museum (ship is regular admission). Many of these sites will come alive with special exhibits and programs. Free admission to these cultural organizations from 1 pm–5 pm in downtown Baton Rouge.
