Leslie Rose


Leslie D. Rose is an arts, culture, and entertainment freelance journalist from Baton Rouge, by way of southern New Jersey. She has a B.A. in mass communication/creative writing from Xavier University of Louisiana.

Leslie has interviewed the Rev. Jesse Jackson, comedians Chris Tucker, Will Ferrell, Chris Rock, and Charlie Murphy; funk icon Bootsy Collins; director Todd Phillips; award-winning visual artist Lesley Dill; educator Dr. Michael Eric Dyson; and several other notable celebrities and local personalities.

When not writing articles, Leslie writes poems. She has been published in various literary journals and audio podcasts, including Indiefeed Performance Poetry Channel. She is also the Baton Rouge representative for the 2014 Women of the World Poetry Slam.
