A uniquely intimate venue within Baton Rouge’s Shaw Center for the Arts, the Manship Theatre shines a spotlight on the Capital City’s performing arts scene, presenting landmark performances and celebrating those who make them possible. Each spring, the Manship’s Red Carpet Gala delivers a concert event that belongs on every Louisiana music aficionado’s calendar, and this year is no exception. On April 16, the Manship Theatre is proud to present the one and only LeAnn Rimes.
The Red Carpet Details
Mississippi-born, Texas-raised, internationally acclaimed, LeAnn Rimes is a Grammy Award–winning artist whose career has spanned close to three decades. An inspiration to artists across genres, Rimes has made an indelible mark on American music. On April 16, the singular voice behind hits like “Can’t Fight the Moonlight” and “Nothin Better to Do” will fill the 325-seat Manship Theatre, delivering a Red Carpet Gala performance that promises to be as intimate as it will be unforgettable.
The Gala program includes a gourmet dinner curated by Baton Rouge fine-dining institution Mansur’s on the Boulevard, with accompanying beverages served throughout the evening. After dinner, ticketholders will take their seats for an up-close and personal performance by one of contemporary music’s most celebrated voices.
For Baton Rouge-based CPA and lifelong music lover, Layne McDaniel, nothing quite matches the live performance experience that the Manship Theatre provides. “For music lovers, it’s an intimate, high-quality experience with the best acoustics,” said McDaniel, who also served as a board member for the Manship Theatre. A longtime patron, he values the theatre as an accessible space to enjoy legendary musicians in a world-class setting. “Through their outreach, they’ve made art available to everyone in Baton Rouge,” he said, “and that’s worth supporting.”
Securing a Home for the Arts in the Capital City
Opening with the Shaw Center for the Arts in 2005, the Manship Theatre quickly established itself as an essential performing arts anchor for the Capital Region. Operating as a nonprofit, the theatre is committed to delivering both arts entertainment and education to audiences. Proceeds from the Red Carpet Gala play a vital role in supporting programming. Audience memberships, sponsorships, and donations enable the theatre to continue this important work. Every ticket sale is an investment in providing Baton Rouge with access to exceptional performances, education programs, and cultural experiences. A Red Carpet Gala sponsorship empowers supporters to advance the Manship Theatre’s mission, while maximizing philanthropic impact with year-round marketing recognition. Sponsors can be assured of receiving premium seating at the gala.
