Bartender Chris Hannah's American Orange Punch
World-renowned bartender Chris Hannah of Jewel of the South in New Orleans serves up this large-batch punch for Independence Day festivities, featuring a full bottle of bourbon, porter beer and citrus.

1 750 ml bottle of Bourbon
5 red sweet navel oranges
1 cup sugar
Nutmeg, grated fresh
1 porter beer, bottle
1 pint water
Orange peel, for garnish
Method
Peel the oranges and rest peels with nutmeg and sugar for 1 hour. Add the juice from the oranges, bourbon, water, and beer to large vessel. Mix to incorporate. Strain and serve in large format glass over pebble ice. Garnish with Louisiana flag pick, orange peel, and grated nutmeg.
