In Excursions, Expeditions, and ‘Discoveries:’ A Young Nation Expands, Louisiana's Old State Capitol invites guests to step into journals of explorers William Dunbar and Dr. George Hunter, who were commissioned by President Thomas Jefferson to map the land west of the Mississippi River.
