There's spring, and then there is Louisiana spring—which is as unpredictable as it is longed for. Blessed be the good-weather gods this year for giving us a few precious weeks of warmer-than-40-cooler-than-80 days. You can almost hear that spring air urging you to find yourself a lawn chair, perhaps a cocktail, and some live tunes. 

Happily, cities large and small all across our great state are hosting such idyllic experiences every week this spring, and often they're free! Find a spring concert series near you! Or better yet, visit each and every one—soaking up that sweet Louisiana spring while it's still here. 

• On Pointe: First Friday in March and April at 6 pm in Pointe Marie city square.
• Downtown Alive: Fridays, March 13–April 17. 5 pm in Downtown Lafayette. 
• Rock N Rowe: Thursdays, March 19–May 7. 6 pm at Perkins Rowe. 
• Live @ the Lakefront: Fridays, March 13–27. 6 pm at the Arcade Amphitheatre in Lake Charles. 
• Mandeville Live!: Fridays, March 13–April 3. 6 pm at the Mandeville Trailhead. 
• Rhythms on the River: Thursdays, March 26–May 7. 5:30 pm at Lafayette's River Ranch. 
• Music Under the Oaks: Sundays, March 22–April 5. 5 pm at Audubon Park in New Orleans. 
• Live After Five: Fridays, March 27–May 8. 5 pm in Downtown Baton Rouge.
