Lunchtime Lecture: A Dream and a Chisel

Author Nancy Penrose comes to the West Baton Rouge Museum today for a Lunchtime Lecture on internationally renowned sculptor Angela Gregory, whose lasting influence can be seen in the Louisiana State Capitol, the Watermark Hotel, the Bienville Monument, and other signficiant public spaces throughout the state. West Baton Rouge Museum too has a collection of scale-model pieces created by Gregory from her Louisiana State Capitol bas-relief profiles. Penrose will speak partiuclarly on her book, A Dream and a Chisel: Louisiana Sculptor Angela Gregory in paris, 1925–1928.
