April at the Abita Springs Opry

The Abita Springs Opry is devoted to preserving Louisiana's indigenous music in all its guises. Arrive early and join the folks who've made a ritual of enjoying gumbo, hot dogs, and homemade pastries, not to mention the pre-show sound checks and front porch concerts. It all adds up to the good ole family atmosphere that the Opry strives for. The lineup for April includes:

• Three Rivers Cooperative: Bluegrass and more.
• Jake and the Oldies: Multi-genre.
• Zack Bryson and the Meat Rack: Honky tonk.
• The Sazerac Swing Setters: New Orleans jazz.
