Le Comité's African American Special Interest Group will hold its African American Genealogical Seminar on Saturday, June 16th, at the West Feliciana Parish Library, 5114 Burnett Rd., in St. Francisville. Speakers and their topics include: Glenna Clark Fallin, "Genealogical Resources at the West Feliciana Parish Library"; Suzette Domingue, "St. Francisville's African American Spiritual Journey Home"; Kenya Key Rachal, "Fight for Freedom: The Ins and Outs of Emancipation and Just How Free Was Free, Anyway?"; Renee Bergeron Richard, "Researching Your African American Roots Through Catholic Church Records"; Dr. Charles Vincent, "Scotlandville"; and Judy Riffel, "Searching West Feliciana Clerk of Court Records Online," and "Analyzing the DNA of the GU272 Descendants."
