Alexander-Soares Duo

The Pelican State Chamber Music Series will present a violin and piano recital by the Alexander-Soares Duo this afternoon. Since the formation of the duo in 2005, violinist James Alexander and pianist Luciana Soares have performed and taught at prestigious venues in Brazil, Rio de Janeiro, Austria, England, and throughout the United States. Music by Beethoven, Franck, and Schubert will be on the program, all performed in the intimate setting of the beautifully restored two hundred-seat auditorium of the Julien Poydras Museum and Arts Center at 500 West Main Street. 3 pm. Free and open to the public. Reception with the musicians follows the concert.
