Annual Fall Festival and Small Scale Steam-Up

Head to the Southern Forest Heritage Museum in Long Leaf for the Annual Fall Festival and Small Scale Steam-Up. This festival has it all, from train rides, pony rides, food trucks, live music, woodcarving, face painting, and inflatables, to the less traditional activities involving a historic sawmill village, live blacksmithing, and a vintage machine shop. Train enthusiasts should make sure to check out the several “Gauge 1” live steam-powered locomotive models from the International Small Scale Steam-Up Company. $10; $5 for train rides, though children younger than five ride for free.
