The play shuttles effortlessly between 1809 and the present day at the elegant Coverly estate. In 1809 the brilliant thirteen-year-old Lady Thomasina and her tutor delve into intellectual and romantic issues. Her story is interlaced with the present, in which the Coverly descendants research a scandal involving Lord Byron. A sparkling exploration into the nature of truth and time.
