Arts & Letters: Edmund White and Thomas Beller

For this week's Friday Nights at NOMA, the award-winning novelist, memoirist, and essayist Edmund White will join Tulane professor and writer Thomas Beller for an "Arts & Letters" conversation on his work.
White is known as a pioneer in gay literature, with three coming-of-age autobiographies, as well as biographies of Jean Genet and Marcel Proust. His works of fiction include Noctournes for the King of Naples, The Beautiful Room is Empty, and Jack Holmes and His Friend.
Arrive early (5 pm) to take part in NOMA's Art on the Spot drop-in activity table, and to enjoy live music from Shawn Williams. Discussion begins at 7 pm. Café NOMA, the Museum Shop, galleries, and exhibits are open until 9 pm.
