Author/Illustrator at the Library

The East Baton Rouge Parish Library's annual Author/Illustrator Program affords an opportunity to participate in an exchange of ideas with prominent writers, artists, scholars, and performers of literature for children and young adults. This year's program welcomes Brian Pinkney and Andrea Davis Pinkney—who have together published more than seventy books, many of which have won prestigious awards such as the Caldecott Honors and Coretta Scott King Honors. 

Catch the Pinkneys at the following events:

September 18: Meet the Authors—Enjoy a free, family-oriented presentation at the Main Library, where you can get your books signed. 7 pm–8 pm. Registration not required. 

September 19: Behind the Writing—This presentation is geared toward teachers, librarians, writers, parents, and lovers of children's literature. 8:30 am–noon at the Main Library. Free, but online registration is required.
