Author Talk Series at the East Baton Rouge Parish Libraries
The East Baton Rouge Parish Library has launched a new Author Talk virtual series, which connects bestselling authors with their readers through interactive, live online Q&A sessions. This month, featured authors are Dr. Michele Borba, author of Thrivers: Surprising Reasons Why Some Kids Struggle and Others Shine, who will discuss actionable ways to help children thrive and to cope (September 8 at 1 pm); bestselling British-American journalist and adventurer Simon Winchester, who will share stories of his various expeditions and explorations into history, technology, and geology (September 20 at 1 pm); and Pulitzer Prize finalist and PEN/Faulkner Award-winning writer Hernan Diaz, who wrote In the Distance and Trust (September 27, 3 pm).
