Johann Sebastian gets his due with a full-on Bachtoberfest at the East Baton Rouge Parish Library Main Branch, presented by the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra. Enjoy concertos, fugues, preludes, and minuets concocted by the prolific composer and his contemporaries, Corelli, Telemann, and Vivaldi. Of course it wouldn't be a fest without food and drink—beer and bratwurst will suit the virtuosic German nicely. 7:30 pm–9:30 pm. $30. brso.org.
