Be Your Wonderful Self: The Portraits of Beauford Delaney

Beauford Delaney's work, from his "Greene Street" period in his home of New York to his 1953 relocation to Paris when he delved into abstraction, has been described by New York Times writer Roberta Smith as "one of the signal achievements of twentieth century American art." Both his portraits and abstract works will be displayed in a new exhibition at the Ogden, tracing the artist's approach and revealing the commonalities woven throughout his career. Ogden Museum is open daily from 10 am–5 pm. Admission is $13.50 for adults, $11 for seniors 65 and older, $6.75 for children ages five through seventeen and free for children under five and members. ogdenmuseum.org.
