History Lecture on the Dawn of Black Suffrage in Louisiana

Professor and renowned historian R. Blakeslee Gilpin will lead a discussion at the Louisiana Old State Capitol, exploring the pivotal era of Black suffrage in Louisiana and the rise of Black political participation amid the challenges of disenfranchisement, offering insights into Louisiana's political landscape.
