Melody Golding's newest book, Life Between the Levees: America's Riverboat Pilots, presents an intimate and riveting history of nearly a century of riverboat pilots' personal stories. 

On Tuesday, Golding will offer a free, illustrated program at Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Natchez, speaking on her experience collecting these oral histories, as well as her personal relationship to the river. Book sale and signing starts at 5 pm, with program following after at 5:30 pm. (601) 695-1772.
