Explore artistic expression of multiple varieties through the St. Tammany Art Association's upcoming workshops, which include:
February 3, 10 & 17: Mugs & Merlot—Janie Dick will walk participants through how to use a potter's wheel or hand-build with clay, with a result of their very own mug, personalized with textures and glazes. And, of course, there will be wine. 6 pm–8:30 pm. $80.
February 14 & 15: Beginning Abstract Mixed Media Workshop—Zona Wainwright will lead a two-day workshop in creating large-scale abstract artworks in a variety of materials and mediums. Ages eighteen and older. 9 am–4 pm. $300.
February 24: Bookbinding Workshop—Join Rachel Crawford in a special three-hour workshop exploring two book forms, the concertina (accordion) and the pamphlet. Each student will create three books, a hard cover concertina and single and double pamphlet books. Supplies will be provided, and some tools will be required by the student, including: pencil, eraser, ruler, scissors, bone folder (or popsicle stick), and a tapestry needle. Ages ten and older. 10 am–1 pm. $60.
