Books Along the Teche Literary Festival

The world-famous literary detective Dave Robicheaux, created by author James Lee Burke, returns home to Iberia Parish each year with his very own festival. The official Books Along the Teche Literary Festival returns for its tenth year, offering plenty of opportunities for exploration in the realms of literary history, culture, and cuisine—all in the beautiful historic district of New Iberia.
The weekend kicks off Friday with tours of the Bayou Teche Museum and Shadows-on-the-Teche, craft talks, and history lectures—all to close out at the "A Novel Evening" celebration, with authors in attendance, that evening. Pop into Bambino's Burgers for a Cajun Breakfast Jam to start the day Saturday, followed by more workshops, author talks, and tours, as well as the Author's Book Fair down Main Street, the Children's Book Fair, and the Great Southern Writer Symposium and Book Signing with this year's featured author, Rick Bragg. Stick around until Sunday for Symphony Sunday in the Park.
Tickets are available for various events at bontempstix.com. Get all of the details for the festival at booksalongthetecheliteraryfestival.com.
