Books Along the Teche Literary Festival

The world-famous literary detective Dave Robicheaux, created by author James Lee Burke, returns home to Iberia Parish each year with his very own festival. The official Books Along The Teche Literary Festival returns for another year, offering plenty of opportunities for exploration in the realms of literary history, culture, and cuisine—all in the beautiful historic district of New Iberia.
The weekend kicks off Friday with author talks, writing workshops, a Bunk Johnson Tour at the library and the beloved annual Dave's Haunts and Jaunts Mystery Bus Tour through town—all to close out at the Jazz It Up Opening Reception that evening at Shadows-on-the-Teche. More talks, workshops, and tours on Saturday, as well as the Author's Book Fair down Main Street, the Children's Book Fair, the Great Southern Chef Seafood Cooking Demo, a kayak tour, and the Great Southern Writer Symposium and Book Signing with Mary Kay Andrews. Stick around until Sunday for T-Boy's Adventure Boat Tour of Bayou Teche, a Live Oak Bike Tour, and Symphony Sunday in the Park.
Tickets are available for various events at bontempstix.com. Get all of the details for the festival at booksalongthetecheliteraryfestival.com.
