Baton Rouge Zoo’s American Association of Zookeepers chapter will host a local Bowling for Rhinos event. The event is as straightforward as is is exciting: you bowl, and it helps rhinos (and cheetahs, how's that for a twofer?) All proceeds benefit LEWA Wildlife Conservancy, International Rhino Foundation, and Action for Cheetahs in Kenya. Entry is $20, which covers bowling fees. Bowling for Rhinos is the signature conservation effort for AAZK, and raises over $300,000 annually. This year, they're striving for a cool half million. Help them, and you'll be helping a horned friend out, too. $20. 6 pm-9 pm. Tickets through Eventbrite.
