Baton Rouge's barbecue scene continues to grow with the highly anticipated BRQ opening next door to the Louisiana Culinary Institute this spring. Come out to LCI this evening for a delicious preview of what's to come from Chef Justin Ferguson, graduate of LCI and former executive chef at Stroube's and Superior Seafood. The menu includes family style chips, pickles, bacon and cheddar hushpuppies, fried green tomatoes, goat cheese drop biscuits, fourteen-hour competition smoked St. Louis and baby back ribs, sliced brisket, pulled chicken and pork, potato salad, poblano cheddar cornbread, pit beans, mac and cheese, coleslaw—and for dessert, decadent chocolate and carrot cake.
