BRSO's Iltcheva Makes Sibelius Sing
As part of its ongoing Masterworks V series sponsored by Investar Bank, the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra welcomes its own concertmaster, Borislava Iltcheva, to the stage to perform Sibelius's thrilling Violin Concerto, op. 47 in D Minor. Also on the program are Mozart's Overture to The Magic Flute and the Enigma Variations by Elgar. Doors open at 6 pm, with "Conversations with Maestro Muffitt" beginning at 6:30 pm at the River Center Theatre for Performing Arts, 240 River Road. The concert starts at 7:30 pm. Tickets begin at $39. (225) 383-0500 or brso.org.
