"Building Blocks" at the Capitol Park Museum

Building Blocks will transform the Capitol Park Museum into a large, interactive city grid. Children will be invited to step into the role of city builders: receiving an official building permit, being assigned a specific block and zoning type, and using craft materials to design and construct buildings that contribute to a shared city. Through guided play, kids will explore how cities are planned, how different uses fit together, and how collaboration turns individual ideas into something greater. Building Blocks is designed to be immersive, educational, and joyful, giving young participants a meaningful opportunity to imagine, plan, and build the cities of tomorrow. 9 am–noon.
