Carol Ridenour at Backwoods Gallery

Local artist Carol Ridenour will have works featured at Backwoods Gallery in St. Francisville. Ridenour, a retired physician, began painting many years ago as a method to decompress after long work weeks. Studying with well-known local artists, she has been told that you should always “paint what you like.” She adheres to that philosophy by painting flowers and still lifes with patterns and vivid colors. An opening reception is scheduled for September 6 from 5 pm-8 pm.  (225) 721-1736.
