CatFest 2018
Fuhrmann Auditorium 317 North Jefferson Avenue, Covington, Louisiana 70433

Big Sky Ranch/CATNIP Foundation is excited to co-host CatFest 2018, a cat art and film festival with Art for Cats Sake. For the first time in Covington history, Big Sky will also host a Cat Café, where guests can enjoy organic coffee while playing with adoptable cats from the nonprofit and its partners. Big Sky will also have furry friends available for adoption from Big Sky, Animal Services and the SPCA at the Big Sky Adoption Lounge.
Proceeds from the event will support research for feline illnesses. The event will feature funny cat videos from the New York Cat Film Festival, and Boo the Deaf Kitty will also be on site to meet his fans. The festival will also host a series of workshops and seminars for cat owners and advocates as well as a beautiful gallery of cat-themed art, jewelry and tasty treats.
Big Sky Ranch’s founders Dr. Catherine Wilbert and Sharon Schluter invite everyone to Covington to celebrate their favorite felines while giving back. Proceeds from the festival benefit Art for Cats Sake whose mission is to advance and promote improved health and wellbeing of cats by raising funds to help find cures for incurable felines diseases, specifically FIP, lymphoma and kidney disease. Big Sky encourages all friends of the nonprofit to attend the event to learn ways to help Louisiana’s most vulnerable (and furry) community members.
Tickets for the Cat Art and Film Festival range from $12-$30 and are available via Eventbrite. Children under seven years of age will receive free admission when accompanied by an adult.
