Intro to Country Wine and Mead Making Workshop

In a two part workshop, the West Baton Rouge Museum is offering a special introduction into the art of fermentation, showing participants the secrets of creating craft mead and country wine using local, seasonal ingredients. The workshop will be led by West Baton Rouge artist (featured in the exhibition, Artists of West Baton Rouge) and cookbook author Mary Guarisco and Ben Deshotel. The course will conclude with a spring picnic featuring homemade breads, cheeses, and the fruits of all students' efforts. 10 am–noon. $25, covers all supplies.
