Creepy Fest
A Celebration of Loud, Disturbing Music
to
New Orleans, LA New Orleans, Louisiana
The thirteenth annual Creepy Fest (perhaps the creepiest of them all, considering it's the thirteenth) will take place in various locations around New Orleans. If relaxing, cheerful music is your jam then Creepy Fest—a panoramic slew of punk, hardcore, metal, and experimental music—is not for you.
July 21: This all-ages skatepark show will feature ten bands on two stages plus artists and vendors. Five punk bands will perform under the bridge while the rear Peach Orchid area will be devoted to a grind core tribute to legendary punkster Hollise Murphy. Paradise Skate Park, 1606 Pleasure St., 6 pm.
July 22: There will be no peace nor tranquility on Lower Decatur Street. Both One Eyed Jacks and Santos, located directly across the street from each other, will feature blasting bands from 8 pm–2 am.
July 23: Twenty bands will perform at three venues, Poor Boys, The Goat, and Sidney's Saloon, all located within a two block radius St. Bernard Avenue. Food will be available from the Green Room as well as pop-ups. One cover charge will allow access to every action-packed show. 6pm.
July 24: The Portside Lounge, a Central City tiki bar (3000 Dryades St.), will be the site for Sunday's gathering. A crawfish boil is planned "if the season runs late like last year." 3 pm.
The show organizers want to make all punk fans aware that the Circle Jerks, 7 Seconds, and Negative Approach will be performing at Tipitina's on Sunday, as well. They have deemed this the "perfect way to close out the weekend." Check out the Creepy Fest Facebook Page for evolving details and pricing.
