to
West Baton Rouge Museum 845 North Jefferson Avenue, Port Allen, Louisiana 70767
The West Baton Rouge Museum hosts a new mini-exhibition titled Creole: Reframed, displaying work from photographer Cécile Smetana and linguist Oliver Mayeux. A year ago, the two launched a project to create a contemporary portrait of Creole-speaking communities in South Louisiana. Through documentary photography and linguistic fieldwork, the exhibition acts as a teaser before the full exhibit is presented in 2027. westbatonrougemuseum.org.
