We hear denim is the new black—or it certainly should be: wear it on April 28 to show your support for survivors of sexual assault. All you have to do is wear your favorite jeans or denim jacket (or both) to Walk-On's in Towne Center any time from 11 am–11 pm and ten percent of your meal will be donated to LaFASA (The Louisiana Foundation Against Sexual Assault). Or join for the main event that evening, which features a denim-centric runway show, a buffet, swag bags, drink specials at a cash bar, plus an auction where you can bid on hand-painted denim jackets by local artists from the runway show. 5:30 pm–8:30 pm. denimdayla.org.
