Alyce Simon and Eva Lee, connected via the scientific community and creative use of light, create wholly original, science-inspired artworks that are now on display at the Louisiana Art & Science Museum. Simon, who passed in 2011, utilized a particle accelorator to produce complex fractal pattens on plastic. Lee challenges perceptions by using digital animations to depict worlds ranging from the far reaches of the universe to the space between subatomic particles. In the coming months, a virtual tour of the exhibition will be added to LASM 360. Displayed during museum hours of 9:30 am–2 pm Thursday or Friday, 9:30–5:30 pm Saturday, and Sundays from 1 pm–5 pm. Included with museum admission price of $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and children, and free for members. lasm.org.
