The Fading Line: A Commemoration of the 1954 Bus Boycott
Onstage at the Manship Theatre this month, The Fading Line: A Commemoration of the 1953 Baton Rouge Bus Boycott is a multimedia performance which relays the story of the nation's first successful boycott of the Civil Rights Movement. Mid City Dance Project, Inc., in conjunction with New Venture Theatre, guest artists, and local professional artists, will use dance, spoken word, music, and recorded oral histories to bring awareness and celebrate the champions of this nine-day, successful, and peaceful protest.
