September 3 : The Author—Imagine waking up in a hospital bed, and having no idea how you got there or how much time has passed. Join Director Chuck Walker, writer Ritchey Cable, and stars for the premiere of this feature-length film—as well as for a Q&A session afterwards. 7 pm. $32.50.
September 8-9 : Bodies Bodies Bodies—Satire returns to the horror genre in this film about a group of rich twenty-somethings stranded in a mansion during a hurricane. 7:30 pm. $9.50.
September 11 : My Old School—Eventually it becomes clear that a boy attending school in Glasgow, Scotland is not who he appears to be. Starring Alan Cumming and director Jono McLeod. 2 pm. $9.50.
September 30 : Manhattan Short Film Festival—As one of five hundred cities across six continents, Baton Rouge will host screenings at the Manship Theatre of the finalists in the 2022 Manhattan Short Film Festival—a format that offers attendees the chance to view, then vote for, their favorite films. And with past finalists having gone on to receive Oscar nominations in the "short film" category, the festival has become known as a breeding ground for the next big thing in film. You be the judge. 7 pm. $9.50.
