Fragmented Landscapes Film Series
New Orleans Museum of Art 1 Collins C. Diboll Circle, New Orleans, Louisiana 70124
Taking a second look at the sometimes overly familiar artistic renderings of Louisiana's landscapes, the New Orleans Museum of Art's current exhibition Inventing Acadia: Painting and Place in Louisiana offers new perspectives on how such imagery has impacted our perceptions of this place and its people over time. Through four films by Deltaworkers, collectively titled, Fragmented Landscapes, these ideas are examined to an even deeper degree. Screenings will be held on select Saturdays throughout the exhibitions run at 2 pm. See below for schedule:
December 7: New Ideas about Landscape
December 14: A Country That is Not of This World
January 11: Stories and Place
January 18: The Louisiana Landscape
