Free Family Sunday at Longue Vue
Longue Vue 7 Bamboo Road, New Orleans, Louisiana 70124
The first Sunday of each month, Longue Vue House & Gardens welcomes Louisiana residents to stroll the grounds, explore the Children's Discovery Garden, enjoy a picnic, and generally make themselves at home amid the eight-acre gardens and house museum, which was once home to civic and philanthropic visionaries, Edith and Edgar Stern. Admission to the lovely gardens is free for Louisiana residents; with tours of the historic home—the masterpiece of acclaimed designer Ellen Biddle Shipman—offered for a reduced admission fee of $7.50 per person. So, pack a picnic blanket and plan to enjoy an afternoon in one of the Crescent City's most beguiling public spaces. 10 am–5 pm, the first Sunday of each month. longuevue.com/events
